At BASK Away, we know a perfect beach day deserves the perfect way to wind down. Whether that means a handcrafted cocktail, a refreshing mocktail, or simply soaking in the atmosphere with friends and family, happy hour drinks are the perfect way to end each day.
We asked our staff at BASK Away to share their favorite local hangouts, from waterfront restaurants to cozy neighborhood bars, and they absolutely delivered. Check out their favorites below and enjoy the perfect happy hour in the Myrtle Beach Area:
Neal & Pam’s, Surfside Beach
Join the party at Neal & Pam’s in the heart of Surfside Beach. This popular hangout is your one-stop destination for dining, drinks, and entertainment. Choose from icy cold brews or expertly crafted cocktails, like Neal’s signature bloody mary.
Neal and Pam’s is one of my faves because of the overall vibe! The service is super friendly – and fast! There are TVs everywhere with sports and live music or karaoke. It’s fun to just come and watch the karaoke! One of the regulars is on this year’s American Idol, which is super cool!

The Quay Seafood Grill, Murrells Inlet
Located on the beautiful Marlin Quay Marina, this local eatery is a great place to enjoy fresh seafood, drinks, and waterfront views in Murrells Inlet.
I love The Quay for its laid-back atmosphere, coastal vibe, and the awesome views of the inlet. If you go at sunset, the view is amazing! They have happy hour & small plates.

Tuna Shak, Murrells Inlet
This casual open-air bar right on the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk is one of the best places to catch happy hour with your dog. Sit outside with your pup and soak in stunning marsh views while sipping cold drinks, frozen cocktails, and mocktails, and eating seafood and sushi.
With live music and a fun, social atmosphere, it captures that classic low-key beach energy that’s perfect for evening drinks with your pup by your side.

Dagwood’s Deli & Sports Bar, Surfside Beach + North Myrtle Beach
If you are looking for a place to kick back and watch your favorite sporting teams, we recommend Dagwood’s Deli. Visit one of their two locations, order a glass of craft beer, dine on classic pub food, and watch the game on over 50 tvs.
For me, I love Dagwood’s for the food, the drink specials, and the fun sports bar atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to hang out with friends and catch a game.

The Grumpy Mustache, Murrells Inlet
Visit The Grumpy Mustache for delicious happy hour burgers, sandwiches, and subs made with locally sourced ingredients. They also have a dog-friendly patio, perfect for enjoying happy hour drinks with your pet.
A newer favorite for me is The Grumpy Mustache. I love the menu and laid-back vibe. It’s the kind of spot where you can relax, enjoy great food, and just be you.

Chive Blossom, Pawleys Island
Chive Blossom is a must-visit for happy hour on Pawleys Island. Sit outside in the courtyard under the oak tree canopy and sip on seasonal cocktails while dining on Southern classics with Mediterranean, French, and Asian flair.
I love the overall boho vibe at Chive Blossom! I love every area! The outdoor area with string lights and plants is great. Sitting at a table for 2 inside or even grabbing a spot at the bar — if you are lucky enough to get a spot! The drinks are super fab , the staff is awesome, and we always seem to make a new friend each time we are there.

Crooked Hammock Brewery, North Myrtle Beach
Crooked Hammock Brewery is the go-to hangout spot in North Myrtle Beach, offering live music, drinks, food, multiple bar areas, backyard games, and fun hammocks. Grab a drink from their Tortuga Island bar during their daily happy hours, Monday-Friday.
I love it because you can kick back with family, friends, or even the dog, sip a craft beer, cocktail, or refreshing non-alcoholic drink, grab a hammock or one of the swings at the bar, and play a few games in the backyard. The whole space has such a fun, relaxed vibe.

The Whistling Duck, Surfside Beach
For a romantic happy hour, we recommend visiting The Whistling Duck on the Surfside Pier. Sit outside and watch the sunset as you sip on a glass of red wine and snack on the meats and cheeses of your charcuterie board.
The Whistling Duck is my newest favorite! I went for the first time and instantly fell in love. The ocean views are incredible! You feel like you’re right on top of the water with the large windows framing everything perfectly. The bartenders are so friendly and craft amazing drinks, and their charcuterie boards, wine selection, and cappuccinos are spot on! Great Vibe!
